My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We found Keith abandoned on the streets of Phoenix. He was sick and very underweight. Despite everything he has been through, Keith is, by far, the most social and loving cat we have. He likes meeting new people, including the vet.

One of the most exciting things about Keith is that he knowns how to play fetch. He is particular about which toy he uses though, it has to be a spring toy. He also adores snuggling with you and giving you kisses. Keith is extremely social and will come up to you wanting lots of attention. When birds are outside the window, he gets excited and will start to chatter at them.

Keith does have FIV. The simplest way to explain it is that Keith has a weakened immune system. FIV is not a death sentence for cats. They can live just as long as healthy cats.

Keith's ideal forever family would be able to give him lots of love and attention. He would do best in a home without dogs. It can take Keith a really long time to get used to new cats. Because of that, he would be happiest as an only cat or adopted with one of our other cats that he already knows. RJ is one of the other cats he gets along with best. He is on a wet food only diet. Keith is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, snap tested and his blood work is normal.

More about this rescue

Handover Rover is a no-kill rescue that focuses it’s efforts on helping animals that are forgotten, left for dead, abused, neglected, chained up, the ones that are in the worst conditions imaginable. We provide a massive amount of free content to help owners train their own dogs, so they don't feel the need to give them up. And we document everything for the public, from training our rescues to our rescue missions.
