My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Sora in April 2024. He was sick and abandoned on the streets of Phoenix. Despite having a rough start in life, he has a very fun personality.

Sora is obsessed with cat tunnels. Sometimes you'll even see him napping in them. His cuddly side comes out when you have a fuzzy blanket. But he also has a playful side that will go crazy for wand toys and laser pointers. Sora is the perfect combination of energetic and laid-back. He gets excited when you come home and likes to greet you at the door while meowing.

Sora is FIV positive. That just means that he has a weakened immune system. It's very common for male street cats to have it. FIV doesn't kill cats, so they can live just as long as healthy cats.

Sora's ideal family wouldn't have dogs or other cats since he doesn't get along with either. He does well with older kids. He is neutered, microchipped, snap tested, dewormed, his blood work is normal, and he just got a dental cleaning in 2025.

More about this rescue

Handover Rover is a no-kill rescue that focuses it’s efforts on helping animals that are forgotten, left for dead, abused, neglected, chained up, the ones that are in the worst conditions imaginable. We provide a massive amount of free content to help owners train their own dogs, so they don't feel the need to give them up. And we document everything for the public, from training our rescues to our rescue missions.
