My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thanos was neglected and then dumped on the streets of Phoenix. After months of socializing, he finally opened up to us. He is still scared around new people. Once he gets to know you, his personality really shines. Thanos is a playful and curious boy. He likes wand toys and to wrestle with his best friend, Richard. He is very food motivated and enjoys eating any snacks you give him.

Richard and Thanos became inseparable shortly after meeting each other. They play, sleep together and groom each other. They will even follow one another around the house. The relationship the two of them developed in such a short time is truly adorable.

Thanos does have FIV. That just means that he has a weakened immune system. It's very common for male street cats to have it. FIV doesn't kill cats, so they can live just as long as healthy cats. It's only spread through deep bite wounds. Since Thanos and Richard are best friends, they never fight and it's safe for the two of them to be together.

Thanos is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, snap tested, his blood work is normal and he had his teeth cleaned in 2025. Both Thanos and Richard would love to have a family that can give them all the love they deserve.

More about this rescue

Handover Rover is a no-kill rescue that focuses it’s efforts on helping animals that are forgotten, left for dead, abused, neglected, chained up, the ones that are in the worst conditions imaginable. We provide a massive amount of free content to help owners train their own dogs, so they don't feel the need to give them up. And we document everything for the public, from training our rescues to our rescue missions.
