Kayden came into rescue as an owner surrender with Danny. Kaden was severely matted so we clipped him up. We are not groomers so it may not be pretty but we know he feels so much better now and his coat will grow back. Once it does,it will need to be maintained with regular brushing and grooming, whether professionally or at home. His coat will be beautiful once again with the proper care. Danny is such a gentle, sweet natured boy. He seems to get along with everyone but he does seem to prefer to hang by himself (kindof a wallflower who likes his alone time). He's not overly playful and when outside with the other dogs, he tends to wait at the door wanting inside instead of romping with his friends. He will be a snuggler and, most likely, a couch potato. He seems to want to just find a nice lap or comfy spot and stay there. He will be a rather easy dog to care for. Kayden would probably do fine with cats, kids and other dogs because of his easy going, laid back nature. Kayden is crate trained but we never guarantee any of our dogs to be fully housebroken. Kayden just wants to be spoiled and live a comfortable life with the people who love him!
Kayden saw the vet on 2/12/26 and was found to have no current health issues. He tested negative for heartworms and has been started on Trifexis for flea control and heartworm prevention. He tested positive on his fecal for whipworms and has been given a Drontal and Trifexis to treat the whips. He may require a follow up in 3 weeks. Kayden received his year rabies and DA2PP vaccinations. Kayden weighed only 12 pounds as of 2/12/26.
If interested in giving Kayden his forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Kayden's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of his vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application and will determine whether the applicant would be a good fit for Kayden based on the info provided in the application. If we feel that you will be a good match for him, we will set up a meet and greet appointment with you.

More about this rescue
We are a small rescue started in September 2004. To date, we have adopted out over 1,000 dogs and cats who may not have had a second chance. We rescue the majority of our pets from kill shelters and have them thoroughly vetted prior to going to their new homes. All of our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm checked(dogs) and dewormed. We also microchip our dogs so that they can always find their way home. Big and small, we work to rehome them all. We are always in need of donations so if you can help us to help our pets, please contact us! The more people who get involved, the more pets that we can save! We look forward to hearing from you and making that "forever match"!
