My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

💘 Looking for a Valentine who is dramatic, devastatingly handsome, and just a little bit unhinged? 💘

Meet Felix — 8 months old, long-haired gray and white fluffball, part-time supermodel, full-time chaos gremlin.

This boy LOVES wearing clothes. Sweaters? Yes. Costumes? Absolutely. He will pose for the camera like he pays rent. He knows he’s gorgeous — and frankly, he is.

But let’s be honest… Felix is not your average snuggle muffin.

He’s feisty. Smart. Intense. He plays hard, thinks fast, and reacts quickly. He loves playing tag and will zoom around the coffee table like it’s an Olympic sport. He even plays fetch — yes, fetch — and has a beloved bird toy he cuddles with at night like it’s his emotional support plushie.

He is not very social with new people. In fact, he can be timid and reactive — especially with strangers, or busy households. He bonds more easily with certain individuals (he tends to show more interest in men initially), but once he knows you and trusts you, you’ll see his playful, quirky side shine.

Felix is not a pick-me-up-and-cuddle type of cat. If he’s uncomfortable, he will absolutely let you know with teeth and claws. He doesn’t love being restrained and prefers affection on his own terms. Sometimes he’ll pop up for a brief snuggle… but it’s his decision, not yours.

Other pets? Hard no.
Kids? Also no.
Chickens? Definitely not.
Small dogs? Negative.
Husky? Absolutely not.

Felix needs a cat-savvy, adult-only, single-pet (preferably) home with someone who understands confident, high-energy, boundary-setting cats — someone who can redirect his behavior, provide enrichment, and appreciate him for exactly who he is.

He’s strictly indoor, curious about new foods (cooked tuna is his kryptonite), and would thrive with structure, patience, and someone home regularly to engage his busy brain.

Felix is not for everyone.
But for the right person? He will be wildly entertaining, deeply engaging, and endlessly interesting.

Handsome? Beyond.
Challenging? A little.
Worth it? For the right human — absolutely.

More about this shelter

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cats and people in our community. We provide counseling, information, and resources to empower people to support their cats and others in the community. If cats cannot stay with their families or neighborhoods, we prioritize our intake on cats most at risk - cats in need of rehoming; kittens who need specialized care; and cats who have been abandoned, are sick or injured, or are not thriving in the community. We are committed to ensuring the highest level of attention and care for cats in our adoption program and provide a modern, free-roaming adoption center to minimize stress, serve the individual needs of each cat, and set up both cats and adopters for success.
