My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Fluffy was brought in by their previous owner on February 12, 2026.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Fluffy! Fluffy may not be living up to his name right now-he had to get a shave due to severe matting-but with regular brushing, his good looks (and comfort!) will be back in no time. This active, happy guy didn't take long to show just how friendly and affectionate he is. Fluffy enjoys soaking up attention and will gladly curl up in your lap for some quality cuddle time. He truly likes being around his people and is always ready for pets, snuggles and hanging out together. Fluffy prefers that his face not be touched-he likes to keep that handsome face admired from a respectful distance! Otherwise, he's a sweet, social boy who thrives on attention and interaction. He'll do best with an adopter committed to keeping up with his grooming and hygiene so he can stay looking and feeling his best. With a little care and plenty of attention, Fluffy is ready to shine in his new home!

At SDHS:
Fluffy has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
