My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Yuki was brought in by their previous owner on February 6, 2026.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Yuki! This bright and energetic girl is always ready to be part of the action. She's curious, eager to learn and enjoys working for treats and toys. When meeting someone new, she might hang back for a moment, but with a little encouragement, she quickly starts to show her friendly side. She builds strong bonds with her people and prefers not to be on her own for long stretches, so she'll do best in a home that can help her settle in gradually. Yuki has done well around kids and enjoys being included in the fun. Once she's comfortable, she's all about the spotlight-leaning in for scratches, nudging for more, and happily soaking up every bit of attention you're willing to give. She's looking for a patient family who can give her the time and reassurance she needs while she adjusts to a new routine. If you're searching for an active, playful companion to join you on daily adventures, Yuki might be a great match.

At SDHS:
Yuki has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Yuki is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
