My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born this past December, Meta is a young Lab mix who is essentially a professional snuggle bug in a puppy suit. Especially if you know the secret to his heart: a good cheek rub. That is his absolute favorite thing in the world, and he’ll be your best friend for life the moment you start scratching. He is naturally gentle and gets along great with humans and dogs of all sizes, though his feelings on cats remain a mystery for now. ‍

Meta is currently up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, and has his neuter already scheduled! Since he is still so young, he’s looking for a family to be his guide as he learns the ropes of potty, kennel, and leash training. He is a "blank slate" with a heart of gold, just waiting for a patient leader to show him the way. If you have a soft spot for a cuddly companion who just wants to be by your side, Meta is waiting for you.

Additional adoption info

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

More about this rescue

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
