My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Minnie May – Your Little Adventure Buddy with a Big Heart!

At just 4 years old and 18 pounds, Minnie May is the perfect blend of playful energy and cozy cuddles. This adorable mixed-breed beauty (with hints of dachshund and maybe chihuahua) is overall healthy, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines — she’s ready to start her next chapter with a forever family!

Minnie May is a people-lover through and through. She lights up around her humans and will happily tag along for car rides, daily walks, weekend adventures, or just a snuggle session on the couch. She rides great in the car and would love to be your co-pilot wherever life takes you.

She does well with other small dogs and cats, though she hasn’t had exposure to livestock. Minnie May is potty trained and eager to please, but she hasn’t learned her basic commands just yet — which is great news because she’s incredibly food motivated and very trainable! With a little consistency and positive reinforcement, she’s going to shine.

Minnie May can resource guard food, likely due to past food insecurity and her current underweight status. With patience, structure, and reassurance that meals will always come, she will continue to build trust and confidence.

This sweet, active girl is looking for a family who will give her stability, guidance, and lots of love — and in return, she’ll offer loyalty, joy, and endless affection.
