Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
This helps Animal Care Centers of NYC | Manhattan with pet care costs.
The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no other cats or dogs.
I lived with children in my previous home.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!
I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.
I am looking for a home with a patient person.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
What my friends at ACC say about me:
Mishu was crouched down on top of the den with his head and ears forward, focused on the assessor with a soft body and eyes upon approach. When spoken to and opening the door, he climbs down to greet the assessor at the front, sniffs treats by hand, and then accepts the treats when placed in front of him. Mishu welcomes petting on the head, leans in for cheek rubs, and raises his hips and tail in the air when stroking his body. When reaching around his body and gently pulling him forward out of the kennel, he tenses up a little bit but then steps out to explore. During pick up, he is calm and relaxed, rests his front limbs on the assessor's arm, and allows petting all over when held and hugged for 15 seconds.
