Mysterious Mabel is a super lovable calico girl who is, quite literally… a mystery.
One day she appeared on a kind community member’s porch — the same porch that manages a TNR colony. With heated houses nearby and the scent of good food in the air, Mabel made her decision clear: she was not here to be an outside kitty. She marched right up and demanded to be let inside like she owned the place.
It turns out Mabel had already been spayed and was clearly once a cherished indoor pet. She knew the cozy life — and she wanted it back.
Unfortunately, the homeowner already had four resident indoor kitties who would not have appreciated a surprise roommate. So instead of turning her away, she did the next best thing and brought Mabel into the loving care of Saved by Zade.
And the mysteries didn’t stop there…
During her vet exam, it was discovered that Mabel was born with a very unique hip deformity — she is missing a hip socket! But because she’s had this since birth, her body adapted beautifully. She doesn’t limp. She doesn’t struggle. She runs (especially when she hears treats jingling 👀).
The only accommodation this one-in-a-million girl needs? A low-entry litter box. That’s it. No special drama. Just special charm.
Mabel is affectionate, confident, and clearly knows she belongs inside — preferably somewhere soft, warm, and close to her humans.
