My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Conner, a 61-pound bundle of potential just waiting for his forever teammate!

At an estimated 2 years old, Conner is right in that `sweet spot` of doghood—he’s past the puppy chewing phase but has all the athletic energy you could want for weekend hikes or backyard games. While his history before arriving at the shelter is a bit of a mystery, his bright eyes and wagging tail suggest he’s ready to start a brand-new chapter.

Conner doesn`t just enter a room; he arrives. He has a wonderfully boisterous personality and a `main character` energy that is hard to resist. Whether he’s showing off his impressive tail-wagging skills or doing his best `happy dance` when he sees a leash, Conner lives life at 100%. He’s a big, goofy guy who finds joy in the little things, and he’s looking for a family who will appreciate his zest for life (and maybe help him channel all that enthusiasm into some fun new tricks!).

Because Conner is a big, bouncy boy who doesn`t quite know his own size yet, he’s looking for a specific environment where he can thrive:
•Kids: Due to his `zoomie` potential, he’d do best with older children who won`t be easily knocked over by an excited greeting.
•Cats: If you have felines, they should be confident and dog-savvy enough to handle his energetic presence.
•Dogs: We haven`t done formal dog testing at the shelter yet. If you have a resident pup, our adoption counselors will provide guidance on how to handle introductions.

Coming in as a stray means Conner is a bit of a blank slate. We don`t know his background, but his friendly nature suggests he’s eager to please. Our team is here to provide you with all the resources and tips you need to help this boisterous boy settle into his new routine.

Conner is neutered and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.
