My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Anthony: The Ultimate Reward

Anthony is a 2-year-old, 45-pound mixed breed who is looking for a patient heart to call his own. As a former stray, he’s still navigating the transition from the streets to a home, and he’s looking for a partner to lead the way.

Anthony is a sensitive guy who can be a bit head-shy and nervous around fast movements. He isn’t the type to bowl you over at the door; instead, he takes his time to observe and make sure he’s safe.

But here is the secret about Anthony: once he builds trust, he melts into you. That initial caution gives way to a deep, leaning-in kind of love that makes every bit of patience worth it.

Since Anthony’s past is a bit of a mystery, we don`t know how he feels about other dogs, cats, or kids just yet. Our adoption counselors are here to help! We’ll provide you with including tips on proper introductions and how to read his body language.

He’d do best in a calm, predictable environment where he can decompress at his own speed.

Anthony is a `quality over quantity` kind of dog. He might not want to meet 10 strangers at once, but he will give his whole heart to his one or two favorite people.

Anthony is neutered and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.
