Hello there! My name is Cairo. I came to Good Home when a nice human rescued me from an unsafe living situation in Long Island. Now I live in foster care and I’m LOVING being part of a caring household and having human companions!
My favorite part about having a loving foster home is all the attention I get *and* have the opportunity to give! I follow my humans around like a puppy and will curl up next to them when they settle down – I just want to be where they are. I’m not a lap cat but I like to be held and I’ll even climb up on my person’s shoulder. I’m so happy to have human companions, I’ll show my love by giving you sweet little licks!
When I’m not hanging out with my people or their friends – I’m social and curious with new people – I like to play with my toys. I especially like batting around mice or balls or stealing pens! I can be vocal when I’m left alone for too long, so my foster people think I’d do well with a calm, cat friend. Though my talkative side is really cute when I welcome you home from a long day at work!
I’d be happiest in a home with moderate activity where I can get lots of attention and playtime with my people, but also time to snooze peacefully beside them. Because I’m such a social guy, I’d probably enjoy the company of another chill, adult cat. I probably wouldn’t be happy in a home with a dog or young kids. More than anything I can’t wait to have people of my very own to shower with affection! Could that be you?
