My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

O.J. is an adorable DSH orange tabby male born approximately 7/22/2025.

O.J. and his two siblings were rescued by a good Samaritan from a TNR colony. She then asked NBCR for help finding this sweet trio homes. They all have such distinct little vibes. Two Face the serene beauty, Pee Wee the tortie charmer, and O.J. the shy-but-sweet orange boy. That’s a lineup designed to steal hearts!

Meet OJ - The Shy, But Oh So Sweet, Orange Boy!

O.J. is a stocky, handsome boy with classic good looks and an even sweeter heart. He may be a little shy when you first meet him, but give him time, and you’ll discover exactly why orange tabby boys have such a devoted fan club.

Once he feels safe, O.J. melts into the affectionate, gentle companion everyone hopes for — the kind of cat who bonds deeply and loves quietly but wholeheartedly. With patience and a calm home, he’s sure to blossom into someone’s very best friend.

O.J. is microchipped and currently in a loving foster home. His adoption fee is $105.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our focus is to place animals in loving, permanent homes where they will be cared for responsibly. Potential adopters or fosters are screened, up to and including home visits. We reserve the right to refuse placement of an animal for any reason. We thank you for understanding.

Adopters must be 21 years or older and willing to invest the time and money required to care for a pet. In addition to providing love and attention, regular medical care is required. Please ask if you would like more information about veterinary fees and costs.

Our animals come from a variety of situations. Some have been dumped at shelters or vets, and many are ill or malnourished when rescued. Although the animal has been in a protected environment, there is the possibility of unrecognized illness appearing after an adoption is finalized, especially because of the stress the animal may experience during the first few days at its new home. We advise adopters of the animal's known history and provide its veterinary records, but frequently we know only what the animal chooses to tell us. We cannot make any guarantee regarding the long-term health of any animal. Adoption fees are generally not refundable unless prior arrangements are made.

If you feel that you are ready to adopt, please e-mail adoptions@nbcrtx.org for prompt attention. A NBCR adoption counselor will contact you to arrange an interview.
