Hey everyone, I’m Pinto! I’m an uber CUTE 2.5-year-old Cocker Spaniel boy with 25 pounds of pure energy and charm. I’m the kind of dog who lives for adventure, playtime, and the open road — literally. Have you ever seen a more majestic sight than me with my ears flapping in the wind out a car window? I think not.
Speaking of play, fetch is basically my love language. Throw it, I’ll bring it back. I also love a good game of tug of war, so if you’ve got a doggie sibling at home who’s up for the challenge, we are going to be BEST FRIENDS. My dream home is a single family house with a fenced yard where I can run, play, and live my best life. I can be a little reserved and do best with slow introductions to new dogs and people, so patience is key — but once I warm up to you, I am all in.
I LOVE belly rubs (oh yes, the belly rubs) and seek out my humans for attention but I’m not really a hugger. I’m mostly housebroken and will master this skill on a consistent potty schedule. I also do great sleeping in my own dog bed at night.
On leash, I’m okay, though I can get a little nervous and barky when I spot other dogs or people! That’s why I really prefer a backyard. I do best with older, dog-savvy kids who understand my vibe. I had a decent weekend with a cat once, so that’s a maybe — no promises though!
If you’re an active family with room to run and love to give, I just might be your perfect match. I take treats gently, I’m full of personality, love to travel and I promise I’ll keep life exciting!

Florida Coastal Cocker Rescue (FCCR) is a non-profit organization located in SW Florida. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing Cocker Spaniels throughout the state of Florida and neighboring states. We rely 100% on donations and volunteers to help us take care of our dogs. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines and rabies, heartworm tested, flea and heartworm treatment, and microchip.
FCCR carefully screens all of our potential furever and foster homes to ensure that our pups will have safe and loving homes. Some of our dogs come from shelters and abusive situations and we want to make sure that they will only see love the rest of their lives.
