I’m a total snuggle bug and love affection—pets, belly rubs, head scratches… I’m here for it all! I’m happiest when I’m close to my people, whether that’s cuddling on the couch or curling up in a warm lap for one of my legendary naps.
Treats are also one of my love languages. Hand me a lick tube and I’ll be your best friend for life!
I’m okay with some cats, but I can be a little unsure at first. Depending on how they respond to me, I might hiss or growl, though I’ve done pretty well with most of the cats here at the shelter. I have met a few dogs and didn’t like them, so I would do best in a dog-free home—either as your only pet or possibly with the right cat.
One of my favorite pastimes is sitting by the window, watching the world go by and trying to catch the birds that fly past. It’s very important work!

Before you are eligible to adopt any animal from Border Paws Animal Shelter, you must complete our Adoption Application, and must be approved as an adopter.
To complete an adoption you must:
be a pre-approved adopter
be at least 18 years of age
visit the shelter to meet the animals
provide at least one piece of photo identification with current address
Applications are reviewed within 48 hours. If approved, our Kennel Coordinator will contact you to set up a time to introduce you to any animals that may best suit what you are looking for, or the animal you've requested a visit with.
All dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption have
been spayed or neutered
received at least one set of vaccines
received a microchip for identification
