My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WonTon – The Marshall 🧡

WonTon is proof that resilience comes in a tiny, furry package. After he and his brother Gizmo first appeared, life took an unexpected turn. WonTon was found trapped under patio furniture with twine tightly wrapped around his leg. Despite everyone’s best efforts, his leg couldn’t be saved — but don’t tell WonTon that.

Now a proud tripod, WonTon absolutely flies around the house. He leads the charge in wrestling matches, initiates games of tag, and keeps everyone on their toes with his fearless, playful spirit. Nothing slows this boy down — not for a second.

He’s confident, indomitable, and full of personality. WonTon doesn’t just get by — he thrives. If you’re looking for a brave little leader with a heart as big as his story, WonTon is ready to march right into your home and take command (of your couch… and your heart). 🐾

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
