Meow, my name is Sweet Pea. My estimated date of birth is 1/24/2025.
I’m a one-year-old calico cutie with a heart as beautiful as my beautiful patchwork fur. If you’re looking for a SUPER sweet, over-the-top friendly kitty, I just might be your girl. I’m the kind of cat you can “do anything to” — pick me up, carry me around, snuggle me close — and I’ll melt right into you. Being held is one of my favorite things in the whole world!
I’m cuddly, snuggly, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. My purr motor is loud and proud — it turns on the instant you touch me. I’m docile, easygoing, and happiest when I’m close to my people. I get along wonderfully with other kitties and would do just fine with children, adults, and senior citizens alike. My sweet, calm personality makes me a perfect companion for just about any loving home. I truly am a gem, and I can’t wait to make one lucky family very happy.
Now let’s talk about something important: I am FeLV+. Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a virus that affects cats’ immune systems. It is spread only between cats (not to people or other types of animals) through close contact like grooming, sharing bowls, or bite wounds. Because FeLV can weaken the immune system over time, FeLV+ kitties may be more prone to infections and need a little extra care.
What does that mean for me?
• I should live indoors to stay safe and healthy.
• I should live with other FeLV+ cats or be the only cat in the home.
• I’ll need regular veterinary checkups to monitor my health.
The good news? With good nutrition, low stress, and proper care, many FeLV+ cats live happy, comfortable lives for years. I may need a little extra love and attention, but I promise to give you ten times that love right back.

Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
