Pretzel
2 year, neutered male, 13 lbs
Chihuahua mix
Pretzel is a perfect example of a Velcro dog! He just wants love and will crawl in your lap the minute you meet him! He’s a lovable boy that would be a great consideration as an emotional support animal. He’s good with new people, great with kids and fine with being crated.
LIKES: Attention! treats of all kinds.
DISLIKES: departures are hard, but he settles in his crate and is often sleeping when we get home, sharing attention with his dog friends, the rain! (He’ll get used to it!)
POTTY TRAINING: there has been a lot of marking, but it’s gotten much better in the past week.
CRATE TRAINING: he settles in quickly
OTHER/MISC: Would do okay in a home with dog savvy cats. If they run, he likes to chase but will otherwise leave them alone. He has no personal bubble and will happily cuddle up with human and furry friends alike! He has done well in a home with other dogs and has met elementary-aged children and love them. Does well on leash and walks.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
