My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allow us to introduce Nutty Professor — a brilliant little gentleman with a curious mind and a heart full of love. This charming feline earned his name thanks to his inquisitive nature and delightfully goofy personality. If there’s a crinkly bag to inspect, a box to test, or a new room to “research,” he’s already on the case!
Nutty Professor is equal parts playful and affectionate. He loves interactive toys, puzzle feeders, and anything that challenges his clever brain. When he’s not conducting important scientific experiments (like determining the exact physics of a feather wand), he’s more than happy to curl up beside you for a well-deserved nap.
Special Note: Nutty Professor has feline calicivirus (FCV). This is a common viral condition in cats that can cause occasional flare-ups such as mild sneezing or mouth sores. Many cats with calicivirus live happy, comfortable lives with routine veterinary care and a low-stress environment. He may do best as the only cat in the home or with other cats who already have calicivirus. We’re happy to talk more about what that means and how simple his care can be!
Nutty Professor would thrive in a home that appreciates his intelligence and gives him plenty of enrichment and love. Whether he’s making you laugh with his antics or gazing up at you with those bright, thoughtful eyes, he’s guaranteed to bring warmth and joy into your life.
Ready to add a little genius — and a lot of heart — to your family? Nutty Professor is accepting applications for his forever lab… we mean, home! 🧡

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
