Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Babe is a 6-year-old, inquisitive, beautiful and affectionate girl with big blue eyes. Her 6-year-old sister and bff, Lulu, is a loving girl with the same lovely gaze. These gorgeous ladies are looking for their forever home, together!
Babe is inquisitive, affectionate, sweet and spicy. She will rub up against your leg, enticing you to give her a pet. Lulu is a bit more elusive than her sister but she, too, loves being petted and hanging around her human. Her idea of a perfect afternoon is to be stretched out as far as possible on your lap when you are in a recliner while you massage her back paws and hips.
Both girls are curious and enjoy following you around the house. When you go to sit down in a chair, they will already be there!
Babe’s luxurious hair needs to be brushed to keep it from matting, but she isn't always receptive to brushing or nail clipping; patience and gentle progress is key in this area. Lulu is inquisitive and loving, and is pretty good when getting her nails trimmed.
During their "zoomie" moments a couple of times a day, these beautiful athletes display parkour abilities, doing moves with agility and speed. They love to play with fuzzy pom poms and wand toys.
Babe and Lulu entertain themselves daily with a lightweight rug that, no matter how many times you straighten it out, they can "play" it into a ball. One of their favorite places to sleep is on a chair that has a fleece thrown over it, turning it into their "hidey-hole".
Both girls come from a home that had two 140-lb. dogs and they currently live with a friendly, large black Labrador. To thrive, they need to be in a household where their people will have the time to give them plenty of attention and love. Someone who works from home, is retired, or is around a lot would be ideal.
Once comfortable in your home, both Babe and Lulu will come out when visitors come. They are curious and affectionate, and can’t wait to bring you twice the joy this spring!
There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimates.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
