My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: Young adult

Meet George! This handsome young adult is a calm and gentle bunny who enjoys the quieter side of life. He absolutely loves being pet and will happily receive affection once he feels comfortable. Fresh veggies are another favorite, and mealtime is definitely a highlight of his day!

George can be a little shy at first and may take some time to warm up, but with patience and consistency, his curious side will show in no time. Once he’s feeling confident, he enjoys exploring his surroundings at his own pace. He’s also quite the interior designer - his toy cups are often found rearranged around his space!

George came into our care with other rabbits and cats, so he may do well in a home with other animals given slow, proper introductions. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion to share your space, George might be your perfect match.

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
