My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lilo is a handsome, sweet-natured boy who is ready to find his forever family. Due to circumstances beyond his control, his previous owner was unable to bring him to their new home. Now, Lilo is looking for a fresh start filled with love - and he has so much love to give in return.

This gentle soul is truly one of the most affectionate cats you'll ever meet. Lilo adores being pet and will happily stretch out, roll over, and show you his belly as a sign of trust. He loves being close to his people and will gladly stay right by your side, whether you're relaxing on the couch or moving about the house.

Lilo is also curious and playful! He enjoys exploring his surroundings and engaging in fun playtime. And treats? They're definitely the way to his heart.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will shower you with affection and be your constant little shadow, Lilo is your boy. He's ready to start his next chapter in a home where he'll be cherished forever.

Could Lilo be the missing piece in your family?

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
