My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to Nova, a beautiful 1-year-old (approximately) tuxedo girl with a personality that shines just as brightly as her name! With her striking black-and-white coat and expressive eyes, Nova turns heads everywhere she goes-but it's her loving personality that really steals hearts.

Nova is known for being incredibly social, outgoing, and affectionate. She loves spending time with people and is always ready to greet you with curiosity and enthusiasm. Whether she's following you around the house, asking for pets, or curling up beside you for some cuddle time, Nova thrives on companionship and being part of the action.

At around a year old, Nova still has plenty of playful energy and would love a home where she can explore, play, and soak up all the love she deserves. Her friendly nature means she'll likely settle in quickly and become a wonderful companion for someone looking for a cat who truly enjoys being around people.

If you're searching for a fun, loving, and sociable kitty to brighten your home, Nova might just be your perfect match.
Come meet this charming tuxedo girl via an appointment and let her light up your life! 🖤🤍✨

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
