My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Puddins (Yes, Puddins. Not Pudding. We checked.)

Let's clear something up right away; her name is Puddins. Not Pudding. Not Puddings. Just Puddins. She feels very strongly about this, and frankly, so do we.

Now, Puddins might greet you with a little dramatic flair at first. Move too fast and you may get a hiss that says, "Excuse me??? Personal space???" But here's the thing - her tough girl routine is completely fake. All hail Queen Fakey of Made-Up-Town.

The second she gets a good sniff, the disguise crumbles and she melts into a full-blown lover girl. Once she decides you're acceptable (which doesn't take long) Puddins transforms into a chatty, affectionate, attention-seeking companion who has a lot to say about everything. She will happily follow you around, hold full conversations, and lean into pets like her existence depends on it.

If you appreciate a cat with a little bit of drama, a lot of personality, and an endless supply of love once you're in her circle, then Puddins would like to schedule an interview.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org. SAVE is operating by appointment-only for approved adopters.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
