My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

River is Sponsored by Craig & Gale Nies

River – Playful and handsome

River is a lively little boy with a big personality and an even bigger sense of fun! This playful kitten is always ready for action—whether he’s chasing a toy, pouncing on imaginary prey, or exploring every inch of the room.

River is also a very smart kitten who quickly figures things out and loves interactive play. Puzzle toys, wand toys, and even unwinding the toilet paper from the roll! When playtime is over, he’s happy to relax nearby and recharge before his next adventure.

If you’re looking for a curious, energetic, and affectionate kitten who will keep you smiling every day, River is ready to splash right into your life

If you are interested in meeting River, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in a pet that is available in our shelter, you will need to submit an adoption application to be considered.
We are receiving multiple applications on every pet. If we do not call you to do an adoption, please do not consider it a rejection. We simply have a lot of applications coming in and very limited staff.
Adoption Applications do not place holds on pets, nor do we do pre-adoptions.
Rather than doing first-come-first-serve adoptions, Newberg Animal Shelter considers all applications and chooses the home that is the best fit for that particular pet. We want the adoptions to be happy and successful for the family and the pets.
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, and at least their first set of vaccines, and microchip.
