Story
Look at that goofy grin! Jingles is a playful pup that`s sure to put a smile on your face to match hers! Jingles enjoyed the kids in her previous home, but she is a very jumpy lady, so older or no kids might suit her best in her next home. She isn`t a fan of sharing her most prized possessions with other dogs, so she is required to be the only animal in her next home. Come meet Jingles today!

Story
This is Chance. He’d had a bit of a rough time before we took him into the rescue, but he’s overcome everything it had thrown at him. Very scared at first, Chance is sadly still a little wary of people He’s very sweet, patient and loving. He’s happy to just have a spot in a comfy home, doesn’t bark or fuss Chance loves to play and be around other dogs. A home with other dogs is a must. He’s very submissive, shares his toys and will turn away from overbearing dogs. He is a little guarded over food and needs to be fed separately He needs a home with patient humans and a doggie or 3 Chance is potty and crate trained will go happily into his crate when asked. He doesn’t do well on a leash, he will chew them and is not happy going on walks. A home with a safe fenced yard is required.

Story
Meet Penny, a 6-year-old Basenji mix with a heart full of love and a spirited personality. Originally from Mexico, Penny made her way to California in December 2020 and was quickly adopted. However, she was returned when her previous family found out they were expecting a baby, and Penny wasn’t comfortable around the little one. Penny is a sweet and loving dog who thrives in the right environment. She’s fully house trained, never has accidents inside, and is a joy to have around. Penny enjoys long walks and playing with her toys, but she also loves relaxing and taking naps next to her favorite people. While Penny is not good with other dogs, cats, or kids, she is an ideal companion in a home where she can be the sole focus of attention. She’s working on her reactivity to other dogs on walks, so a patient family willing to help her through her anxiety would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who will shower you with love and appreciate a calm, dog-free home, Penny is ready to become a cherished member of your family.

Story
Benny #A2053284 (HW NEG)  1/13/26 | Stray | Akita Mix | Neutered Male | 1Y | 48 lbs | HW NEG Temp test - https://youtube.com/shorts/v7KQCMyQC4c  Temp test continue - https://youtube.com/shorts/ZzONhy7dmdg    : Benny boy! Benny could probably run a mile with you or play all day with a dog, he’s all go no breaks  me and Benny were at one point wrestling on the grass while citizens came and it looked so playful and cute but really I was just trying to get his leash untangle hehe Benny isn’t much of a treat guy, he wants attention and play! He wants nothing but action, he didn’t pull to hard but when he did it was because he wanted to play with a dog or get something. This guy wouldn’t be able to use any of his brain cells, he’s not so attentive with you either. If adhd was in a dog, Benny would be one of the examples. This guy would be fun if the right person comes, he can easily be a “too much for me” kind of return. Very close energy to Jack, the husky you guys just pulled a couple of days ago! Intake per postal worker there is two large dogs in the area not allowing him to deliver the mail one dog is a light brown and white the other is dark brown   : 1/19/26 – Benny greeted me this morning with a loose body, high curled tail, and a softly closed mouth. He walked gently on a loose leash and accepted treats when offered. 1/21/26 – Benny will stand at the front of the kennel, presenting a neutral body posture, lip licking, and a C-shaped tail. Quiet throughout the day. 1/23/26 – Wiggly body, tappy toes, and licking snout. Walked with tight leash ahead of me out to runs, stopping frequently to mark spots. Did have to pull him away at one point as he tried to stop and pee on an ant pile. Wiggly and playful, bowing at other dogs once he saw them in the runs. 1/25/26 – Mr. Benny when I walked up to his kennel had a wiggly body, happy tail, ears to leash. Walked out with tight leash ahead of me outside, did have to pull him back when he tried to go towards another dog to try to play. 1/28/26 – Benny greeted me with a wiggly body and soft open mouth. Walking Benny he will semi-pull on the leash and will start jumping on me. I will turn my back on him and continue to walk. I tried to redirect Benny with treats but he ignored them. But in the kennel, Benny is very quiet and lays on his kuranda bed. 1/29/26 – Benny greets at the front of the kennel, presenting a loose body, a high C-shaped tail, and lip-licking. He becomes excited when walking and tends to semi-pull on the leash. He follows a trail of treats while walking. 1/30/26 – Dog greeted me with wiggly body and open mouth smile. When I opened his kennel he immediately walked into my leash, he was very wiggly and excited to go outside. He walked on a semi-tight leash. I placed him in runs and he immediately started to offer play bows to his neighbors. He ran back and forward, had zoomies. When retrieving him, I called him over and he immediately came running towards me and offering play bows. Walked loosely back to kennel. 1/31/26 – Benny was quiet and relaxed in kennel during morning feeding and cleaning. Greeted me by his kennel door with a relaxed body, low slow wagging tail and soft open mouth with loose tongue. Walked on a loose leash heading in and out of north building. While in his outdoor kennel he began to play bow with his neighbor and was running up and down, walked back inside on a loose leash and entered kennel with no issues. 2/1/26 – Benny presented a relaxed body with soft swaying tail. Benny walks well on a loose leash but will start to jump on me. While walking Benny, he started to shake his head and got out of his leash and started running away from me. But Benny had run right into the dog run to potty and I closed the gate.
