Story
Penny is an incredibly sweet, loving, free spirited dog looking for her new forever home. She is about 5 years old and came to California all the way from Mexico in December of 2020. She was adopted right away, however soon after, her new family found out they were expecting a baby and unfortunately Penny has shown signs of not feeling comfortable around a little one. She is fully house trained (has NEVER had an accident inside), never begs for food, and loves to sleep, play with her toys and look out for her family. She is an energetic pup that loves long walks outside, but equally loves long naps next to her parents. She is working on her reactivity to other dogs on walks, so she would do best with a family that is patient and able to help her through her anxiety.

Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need.The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1881338##

Really sweet shy gal found living on a mattress on the side of the road!Soraya is a very sweet and bit shy gal about 10 or 12 mos old.  She is spayed, current on vaccines and chipped.  Soraya loves other dogs, is good in the car and learns quickly.  She was found on the side of the road living on a mattress in Texas.  She came to Colorado to find a fun patient family and maybe a dog sister or brother.  Living in the house is still new to her so she will need some time and patience.  May 4, 2024, 9:09 pm

Meet Rose She is a blind 5/6 year old Shiba with a heart of gold. She embodies bravery and great resilience. She cant see or is greatly vision impaired. She was terrified at the CA kill shelter but allowed staff and vet to handle her just fine. She has been the sweetest and most loving girl. She ended up at the shelter due to her owners not being able to afford her vet care. She did in fact need to lose both her eyes and thankfully for her our rescue took care of all the vet bills to get her ready for an adopter. With all her fur you can barley even tell she doesn’t have eyes She uses her nose and hearing to navigate her way around. Her fosters also use a marking word to let her know when there is a step. Don't let her eyes hold you back from this lover, she doesn’t even notice she is blind. **She loves to go for walks and hang out outside and play with toys **Loves to cuddle! **Crate, house and leash trained **Good with other dogs but when meeting new dogs she needs time to smell them before allowing them in her face **Loves everyone and loves pets. She’s been a big hit at breweries and adoption events ALL POSO DOGS COME WITH FULL VETTING AND 2 FREE DOG TRAINING SESSONS
