Story
This is Chance. He’d had a bit of a rough time before we took him into the rescue, but he’s overcome everything it had thrown at him. Very scared at first, Chance is sadly still a little wary of people He’s very sweet, patient and loving. He’s happy to just have a spot in a comfy home, doesn’t bark or fuss Chance loves to play and be around other dogs. A home with other dogs is a must. He’s very submissive, shares his toys and will turn away from overbearing dogs. He is a little guarded over food and needs to be fed separately He needs a home with patient humans and a doggie or 3 Chance is potty and crate trained will go happily into his crate when asked. He doesn’t do well on a leash, he will chew them and is not happy going on walks. A home with a safe fenced yard is required.

Story
Meet Penny, a 6-year-old Basenji mix with a heart full of love and a spirited personality. Originally from Mexico, Penny made her way to California in December 2020 and was quickly adopted. However, she was returned when her previous family found out they were expecting a baby, and Penny wasn’t comfortable around the little one. Penny is a sweet and loving dog who thrives in the right environment. She’s fully house trained, never has accidents inside, and is a joy to have around. Penny enjoys long walks and playing with her toys, but she also loves relaxing and taking naps next to her favorite people. While Penny is not good with other dogs, cats, or kids, she is an ideal companion in a home where she can be the sole focus of attention. She’s working on her reactivity to other dogs on walks, so a patient family willing to help her through her anxiety would be the perfect fit. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who will shower you with love and appreciate a calm, dog-free home, Penny is ready to become a cherished member of your family.

Story
Benny  Male | Mixed Breed (Breeds NOT confirmed, therefore not confirmed hypoallergenic) | 1Y | 48 lbs  Smart, confident, and full of personality, this handsome guy is the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. He’s medium energy, which means he loves a good walk or some roughhousing, but he’s just as happy curling up with you for a movie night. He’s incredibly goofy and affectionate, a total cuddle bug who bonds closely with his person. He’s also very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. He already knows sit, come, and paw, and he’s currently working on lay down and stay. He’s house trained when it comes to peeing and is almost fully there with pooping. With consistency, he should have that mastered within the next few days. He isn’t a huge fan of the crate yet, but he’s making progress and does stay in the crate when left home alone. When you’re home, he enjoys free range of the house and currently sleeps in bed, where he does great. On leash, he walks well overall and is improving with training. He doesn’t like being forcefully pulled and may try to wiggle free if restrained too hard, but if you call him and give a light tug, he responds really well. He can pull at times and will need continued guidance. He does have a high prey drive, so he may go after small animals on walks. An adopter should be ready to stay alert and brace when needed. One big apartment plus: he’s very quiet. He hasn’t barked, though he may whine a little when he wants something. If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, affectionate dog who can play hard and snuggle harder, he could be your perfect match You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  ##2656127##
