If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! Midge is a very gentle Basset Hound and Chinese Shar pei mix looking for a forever home. She was taken in from a bad hoarding situation and is now doing living in a REAL foster home with other happy and loved friends and food and medical care too!! I am learning everyday what it means to be man's best friend and it is pretty sweet :) Midge came to the rescue with little hair and skin infections and entropion on both eyes (meaning her eyelashes were scraping her eyes every minute of every day..... think about how miserable it is to have ONE eyelash in your eye ;( and STILL a sweet and loving personality, despite how she was physically. The rescue fixed all my stuff up and now I have gorgeous, shiny and thick black fur and my eyes don't hurt anymore!!! She would be best in a home with another calm and confident dog. Marla is a 2 year old cheagle, a cross between beagle and chihuahua, who is absolutely one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. Marla is very calm puppy, who loves to be a lapdog and loves getting picked up. She walks really well on leash, and loves going on walks. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes. She is indifferent to cats, and prefers not to mess with them. She is very loving, and will give you kisses whenever you want. Marla is crate-trained, and housebroken. She is fully grown at 19 lb and is healthy. She is also very intelligent and adjusts really well to her surroundings. Marla lived a month alone on the streets in front of an upscale apartment complex, until the manager of the complex contacted our rescue about her. She slept outside people's doors. and it's really sad that no one let her in. She is a really sweet girl and will make an amazing companion to anyone. She has been around children and toddlers and is very gentle with them. Marla is current on her shots, spayed and microchipped, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives. Sweet Marla is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Her transport fee is included in her adoption fee. This sweet gal was found wandering around a city dump. A stranger rescued her but could not keep her so she ended up at our shelter. She is a bit overweight but we are working on that. She has a very kind disposition and gets along with other dogs of all ages. Puppies are a bit much for her though so she would do better around older dogs. Older kids would probably be best for her also. She is housetrained and will need a little work on a leash. She does like to be around people and can be a bit talkative when left alone (she does settle down). She gets around great and her weight doesn’t stop her from jumping on a comfortable couch! She’s just an older lady needing a forever home with a laid back family… some exercise is needed but not too much. We also use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport. We transport every weekend alternating between the Northeast and the Midwest.
