Rudy is approximately 9 years old, and was adopted from Michiana Humane Society in 2018. She grew up with another dog and 3 kids. She has spent the last 2 years with cats. She is extremely docile with adults and LOVES affection. She has recently shown food aggression around the kids and has attacked the cats 2 times in the last 2 weeks. She would thrive in an adult only home, with humans who stay home often or are able to take her on adventures with them. She loves belly rubs and long walks. She has never bitten a human but has bitten the cats. She will growl if anyone nears her food. This is extremely devastating for our family, but I can’t risk her aggression generalizing to the kids, as it’s posing a safety risk to my family. She is very loyal to the person she bonds to, and I’ve never met a person who didn’t fall in love with her. I want her to find a safe, loving family that can give her the time and attention she deserves as she continues aging, to help with her anxiety 🩷

Basset Mix Carson came to us by no fault of his own after finding himself homeless at an Indiana municipal shelter. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 07/04/24 and  he currently weighs 28.5# full grown.He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is heart worm and tick born illness negative. He has some sort of orthopedic issue we had xrayed and waiting for info. His adoption donation is $350 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport.Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##2791515##

Brecken Basset came to us by no fault of his own after finding himself homeless and in an Indiana municipal shelter. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 07/04/24 and  he currently weighs 42# full grown. He will not be placed with small children. Recently returned for resource guarding. This guy is a hound who likes to grab high reward items and can get nippy about giving them back. He needs a structured home where he has no access to people food and if he does grab something he should not (like trash), he needs training to be offered something as a trade that is equally delicious and a dog appropriate treat. If he finds a dead bird in your yard, he probably isn't giving it up! He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is heart worm and tick born illness negative. His adoption donation is $550 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Bingo is a resilient little guy who spent about a week wandering a lake neighborhood, staying just out of reach until a kind person finally earned his trust and brought him safely into a car. Now that Bingo is safe, his favorite place is wherever his people are. This sweet boy is the definition of a Velcro dog and loves nothing more than staying close, whether relaxing on the couch, hanging out around the house, or settling in for a cozy cuddle. Bingo has been wonderful with the other dogs in his foster home, preferring peaceful companionship over rough play, and he is pleasantly quiet.
