Meet Noelle! This girl came to us as a stray with puppies. Her puppies are in homes, and she is ready for her turn! Noelle is guessed to be a hound mix of some sort! She is very smart, and her nose is amazing! She loves being by her people and will let you know when she needs to go potty! Noelle is Heartworm Positive so we will need to undergo treatment through our shelter but she is still able to go into a home before then! If you have any questions regarding that please call the shelter! Noelle does great with other dogs and everyone she has met so far! We have not cat tested her yet.

Meet Arthur—though if you remember Slinky Dog from the Toy Story movies, you may feel like you already have! This short-legged, long-tailed hound mix is only beginning to realize his greatness. He is walking on a leash and nearly housetrained. Arthur will benefit from structure and routine (walk, eat, sleep, repeat!), and will grow into his best doggie self with patient leadership and consistent direction. Arthur would do best in a home without children, and we are not sure about other animals, because he is rather selective about who he likes. He will need time to slowly get to know you, and several visits as he is not the most confident pup. Derby!    DOB: 5/2014    Weight: 50lbs   Oh Derby! I LOVE this little man! His owner recently had to move due to unfortunate circumstances and it left Derby homeless. Derby is a senior man who still has a lot of life left in him and is ready to find a person he can spend it with! He’s house trained. Good with dogs of all sizes and previously lived with a small dog. Ok with cats too! Derby enjoys eating food, going for walks, and being given loads of attention from his people. Owner said he has been ok around kids but keep in mind that he’s a big, stocky boy who can easily knock little kids over when excited. He did wonderful for his annual shots! Derby enjoys having his butt scratched, but he REALLY likes it when you sit there and smack his butt. His bark is also not much of a bark at times either. He got some yard time at one of our recent dog walks and had people thinking there was a dog fight going down. No, he was just screaming and complaining because he wasn’t getting the attention he thought he deserved. Derby will make an awesome dog for someone! Already becoming a shelter favorite.  His adoption fee is $100. That helps us to cover worming, vaccines, spay/neuter, heart worm test, and microchip. We offer a 2-3 week trial.
