Walker is currently enrolled in the 12-week Puppies 4 Parole program through the Mo Department of Corrections. He will graduate around August 15th and will be available for adoption at that time. If you are interested in adopting Walker, please complete an application and the foster parent will contact you. Meet this happy-go-lucky Basset mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart! While he may not have the classic long Basset ears, he definitely has the lovable charm. He’s a social guy who loves everyone he meets and gets along great with other dogs. This active boy is looking for a family that can keep up with his fun-loving energy. He would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where he can run, play, and explore safely. He’s already housebroken, knows “sit,” and settles quietly in his crate like a pro. Because he gets so excited to meet people, he can be jumpy when greeting, so a home without small children would be best. He’s eager to please and would really benefit from continued training to help him polish his manners. He would do best as your one and only or with another dog that matches his energy level and enjoys active play. More than anything, he loves attention and being part of the action. Whether he’s playing outside, hanging with his dog friends, or cuddling up with his people after a busy day, this sweet boy is happiest when he’s included. Walker’s adoption fee is $295.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
