Azula was a shelter favorite but everyone was so happy to see her go to foster. She settled in quickly and is WOWing her fosters with her sweet and goofy personality. She wants to be around her humans all of the time. She's both dog and cat friendly!! She's potty trained as well. This very special girl is deaf. She has picked up on signs very quickly and loves to be taught new things. One perk of a deaf dog is that she doesn't get spooked by the vaccuum or thunderstorms like so many pups do. Roscoe is an almost 8yr old Basset Hound mix, he is housebroken and knows Sit, Down, Come and has good recall. He is crate/kennel trained. He's good with other dogs, older kids only because of his size. We are not sure how Roscoe is with cats. Roscoe rides great in a car but he's too big to get up into a truck. Because of his weight/size he does not like being lifted up or ""squeezed"" around his belly.Roscoe is a bit overweight and has dropped a about 5lbs already, he's currently weighing in around 78lbs and is on a diet. He came to us this way and needs to get down to around 60-65lbs. He is being walked briskly a few times a day to help with the weight loss. We had Roscoe DNA tested to see what he's mixed with and he is 56% Bassett, 32% Border Collie and 10% Australian Shepherd. When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away!
