Story
We have had him for 6-7 years and he has developed some behavioral issues because we leave him alone for long stretches each day. Kids are in school and both wife and I work 1st shift. On weekends we are out doing tasks we are unable to do during the week. Over the last several months he is now getting into the garbage every chance possible and when confronted, he urinates all the way to his cage. He does really well with other animals and kids. Would benefit most with a family that is home alot and gives him more attention which we cant.

Story
Odin is a sweet boy who loves to be with people and other dogs. Odin's beginning wasn't so bright, he was left alone in a home for a period of time where he was only seeing people to get let out and fed. Odin has been adjusting well to being around people and other dogs in his foster, but he still is showing some signs of seperation anxiety, mostly in the form of barking. His foster mom believes this is due to his being left alone and will improve with time. Odin gets very excited to have toys to chew on. He loves playing with his foster canine friends, but can get a little rough, so would be best in a home with dogs his size or larger. Odin is very food motivated! He loves the attention! He does well on car rides and will ring a bell when he has to go potty! Odin has been sleeping overnight in a crate in foster and does well. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Story
Fans of the TV show “My Name is Earl” will be delighted to hear that we have a dog named Earl up for adoption. Earl is a male Beagle mix that weighs around 40 lbs. We estimate his age to be 8 years old. This older gent found himself at the shelter after he was found as a stray and no one claimed him. Do not let the gray in his muzzle fool you. Earl is spunky and has a medium to low energy level. He is easy to walk and does not pull. He enjoys following his nose and sniffing everything. He will play with toys for a short while. He loves attention and will soak up any he can get. Earl would be perfect in a calmer household. He has shown great potential with other dogs. As always, a meet and greet with resident canines is required. Compatibility with cats is unknown. Older children are fine. Earl is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes neuter, vaccines, heartworm testing, and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Earl. Earl’s adoption fee is $85. Earl is one cool dude.           Like Parma Animal Shelter on FACEBOOK and help pass the word about our adoptable guests!  Don't forget to share pictures with your friends!  Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/ParmaAnimalShel   Submit an application to adopt on our website parmashelter.org           April 26, 2024, 2:54 pm

Story
Bandit is one fun pup. Bandit is a 7-year-old beagle/poodle mix that weighs 20 pounds. His DOB is 12-14-16. Bandit came to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. This little fun sized nugget has a medium to high energy level. He may have a little grey in his muzzle but don’t let that fool you. Bandit is ready for any and all adventures. He is lovable and enjoys being around everyone. He is a fan of car rides and playing with toys. He has done well with children of all ages. Bandit has lived harmoniously with a cat that hated him. He has also been around other dogs and done well with them. As always, a meet and greet with your dog must be done to make sure everyone gets along. The previous owner reports that Bandit was allowed free run of the house with no issues. Bandit is available for our foster to adopt program which means you can foster him in your home until he finishes his vetting which includes vaccines, neuter, heartworm testing, and microchip. Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Bandit. His adoption fee is $85. Bandit is an amazing dog looking for an amazing home that will continue to spoil him.

Story
Smokey is a sweet, loving, fun 4 year old beagle. I got him at 9 months old from a private breeder who used him for rabbit hunting competitions. He much prefers to be a house pet, but loves to be outside whether it's walking or basking in the sun! He's a wonderful companion and always up for adventures! He enjoys car rides, hikes in the woods, boat rides, and snuggling! He does require an owner who is attentive and active. He hasn't been around other animals much and does get anxiety when approached.
