WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌟🐾 Meet Gypsy — Short Legs, Big Heart, Still Waiting 💛🐾 Gypsy has been waiting… and waiting… and waiting. And honestly? She’s waited far too long for a girl this special. At 2 years old and 28 pounds, Gypsy is a delightful blend of Cattle Dog smarts and Basset Hound charm — think low-rider body, big-dog energy, and a personality that could light up a room. She’s basically the off-road model of a best friend: compact, sturdy, and always ready for an adventure. Gypsy LOVES her walks and is getting better and better on leash every day. She’s happiest when she’s outside, exploring the yard, supervising chores, or keeping an eye out for squirrels (her self-appointed job, and she takes it very seriously). When playtime winds down, she’s just as content following her favorite human around like a loyal little shadow. She’s playful, affectionate, and full of goofy charm. Toys are fun. Shoelaces are very intriguing. And her signature low-rider zoomies? Absolutely legendary. 🐾 Gypsy’s Highlights: ✅ 2 years old, 28 lbs ✅ Dog-friendly ✅ House & crate trained ✅ Loves walks and outdoor time ✅ Sweet, silly, and full of personality ✅ Equal parts sass, snuggles, and sunshine While Gypsy does great with other dogs, cats are an unknown — mostly because Gypsy believes squirrels are public enemy #1 — so she may prefer a home without feline roommates. What Gypsy really wants, though, isn’t much. She wants a family who will love her quirks, laugh at her goofy legs, and finally give her the forever home she’s been patiently waiting for. She’s ready to be someone’s hiking buddy, couch companion, and daily dose of happiness. 💛 Gypsy has so much love to give — she just needs someone to give her a chance. Short legs. Big heart. Endless loyalty. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Gypsy finally stop waiting and start living the life she deserves. 🐾💛

Story
Scooter's New Year Wish  Hi, I’m Scooter. I’m 9 years old, and I’m a pretty easy guy to love. If your New Year’s resolution is to slow down, stress less, and enjoy the little things, I’m the partner you’ve been looking for. While some are out braving the cold or dealing with puppy "zoomies" at midnight, I’m a professional at the quiet life. I don’t need much—just a soft place to rest, my warm, cozy crate, and someone who will take a minute to give me belly rubs (those are my favorite). Why I’m your perfect 2026 resolution: Instant Best Friend: At 9, I have a "PhD in stealing hearts" and years of experience in the fine art of friendship. The Ultimate Buddy:  I’m happiest just curling up on the couch for a movie marathon  Low Maintenance, High Love: I already have my "grown-up" manners. I like everyone I meet, including my furry foster sisters, and I promise not to chew on your new holiday shoes. I got to enjoy my Christmas holiday with my foster family, who spoiled me and got me my favorite Lamb Chop toy. I would love to start my new year with you. Adopting a senior like me means skipping the messy training phases—I’m ready for instant companionship from day one. If there’s still room under your tree—or in your heart—I’d love to be the present you choose to start your best year yet. Love,Scooter  ##2589164##

Story
Hi, I’m Betty! I’m a 7-year-old brown and white Basset Hound mix with the most adorable face and a gentle soul to match. I’m a sweet senior gal who would love nothing more than a cozy place to rest my head and a family to call my own. I have that classic hound charm—soft eyes, a loving nature, and a calm presence that makes you want to sit down and stay awhile. I may be past the puppy stage, but I still have plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, easygoing friend. If you’ve got room in your heart (and on your couch) for a deserving senior, I’d love to meet you.If this dog has been successful in our play groups it is not a guarantee that a dog will be social with other dogs in their home or in public settings. Dogs are individuals and have personality conflicts, just like us. Play groups do not guarantee that territorial or resource guarding issues will not surface in the home. While play groups do help us get to know the dog`s better, once they are adopted their new environments and new relationships will influence their behavior in ways we cannot predict.I am a senior dog that is eligible for the Senior 2 Senior Adoption Program! The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial canine distemper combination vaccination- first worming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption fee: $95.00Per state law, ALL ADOPTERS must purchase a non-refundable 2025 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. Story
CORI Female 8 years Attributes Adult home only preferred Single dog home Dog friendly Good w/cats Requires a fence Housetrained Good in cars Cori is a sweet beagle girl with an adorable underbite. She was obviously very much loved in her previous home, but sadly, her mom passed away. Now, at 8 years old, Cori is looking for a forever home where she can be spoiled again. An adult-only home where she can have ample time to settle in would be best for Cori. She would prefer a quiet lifestyle (no cities or busy neighborhoods for Cori) and would like to be the only dog in the household. That being said, Cori enjoys her visits to doggy daycare where she can socialize with other dogs. Cori also does well with cats. Cori will thrive in a home where she has a regular routine and will be walked daily so her beagle nose can be used to its fullest potential. She’s house trained, but she doesn’t potty on leash, so a fenced yard is a must. Car rides with Cori are a breeze – she’s the perfect passenger when it’s time to hit the road! Because Cori was displaying some behavior that we wanted to better understand, we sent her to a certified professional dog trainer. Cori was already on medication for general anxiety, and she underwent thorough behavioral and medical evaluations to determine if there was something else that was affecting her behavior. We discovered that Cori’s underbite was causing a lot of jaw pain, and her discomfort was affecting how she interacted with the world. Since starting daily anti-inflammatory medication, Cori has bloomed beautifully. According to her trainer, she now has a good appetite and is a “total foodie.” Her confidence has increased, she’s more playful and more at ease meeting new people, and she has learned to ignore distractions while she’s on leash. Best of all, Cori is now ready to find her new forever home. If Cori seems like the beagle buddy you’ve been looking for, please contact Midwest BREW to learn more about her. NOTE: Dog may be located in any of our six volunteer states (WI, IL, IN, OH, PA, MI).

Story
Milo (and his brother, Ace) are both looking for their forever home due to the passing of their former owner. They are currently residing at the Long Run Pet Hospital in Wheeling, WV, where they were surrendered.  Milo is 2 years old and a beagle/bulldog mix -- known as a Beabull. This breed mix is active, playful and make great companions and family dogs for an active person or family. Both Milo and Ace exhibit the quintessential beagle/mix with the happy personality and attentive tail to show enthusiasm. Milo is very energetic, curious and does well on a leash. He loves attention and returns it with a big smile.  Milo is a sturdy boy that would make a great companion for someone who not only commits to providing lots of playtime but also loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs." He would benefit from basic obedience classes to teach him good manners. He should do well with another dog of his size and playstyle but is far too energetic for cats and toddlers. Older, dog-savvy children may very well enjoy this beautiful boys as a snuggle buddy. Milo's soft, floppy ears and doggy smile are guaranteed to bring joy and laughter into your life. Milo is a courtesy post for the Long Run Pet Hospital. For more information or to arrange a meet, please call Long Run at 304-232-2605. May 12, 2025, 12:57 pm

Story
Meet Winston your loyal, food-loving home buddy. If you're looking for a loyal companion who loves quiet company, cozy naps, and casual strolls Winston might just be your perfect match. He’ll follow you around, talk to you when he wants something, and gently nudge your hand for attention. He’s independent and prefers affection on his terms, but he loves sleeping in bed, relaxing beside you or a comfy spot to watch the world go by. He needs a calm, patient home with someone who’s around often. He’s sensitive to loud voices or being cornered, positive, gentle handling works best. He can get nervous with strangers and other dogs, but settles with time and space. He’s very food-motivated (and a scavenger!), so a tidy home is important. He’s house-trained, sleeps through the night, enjoys daily walks, toys and treats. He’s not suited for kids or heavy travel, car rides stress him out. He’s a sweet, quirky guy who thrives in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates his unique personality.
