When the person he loved most became ill, she made the hardest decision of her life — placing Charlie into the arms of a first responder so she could receive the care she needed. In that moment, Charlie lost his home… but not his hope. Now this sweet senior boy is safe at Heal Animal Rescue, quietly waiting for a soft place to land — a calm, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and unconditional love. Like his former owner, Charlie has some medical challenges of his own. He has a heart condition that requires daily medication and routine veterinary monitoring. These simple measures help keep him comfortable and enjoying each day, but he will need a family willing to commit to his care and cherish every moment they’re given together. Charlie adores people and greets every human with a loving heart. He does well with other calm dogs and would thrive in a peaceful, adult-only home where he can relax, nap, and soak up all the affection he’s been missing.
