Hi, I’m Shirley. I just finished my biggest project to date: raising a litter of puppies and getting them all successfully launched into their own homes. Now? I’ve officially handed in my resignation as 'Mom' and I’m looking for my own 'Happily Ever After.' I’ve spent the last few months making sure everyone else was fed and happy. I’m ready for the roles to be reversed! I’m looking for a home where I’m the baby now. I’ve done my time with the chaos—give me a soft couch and a consistent treat schedule, and I’m yours. My Ideal Date: A slow 'sniffari' around the neighborhood (my nose is a precision instrument) followed by a nap so deep I do that cute Beagle ear-twitching thing. My Best Trait: I am a professional-grade snuggler. I’ve got years of experience in providing warmth and comfort. Story
Melly has been a special addition to our family for about 6 years. Due to unforeseen family health circumstances, we’re heartbroken to have to rehome him. Melly is just a huge love bug. He adores cuddling in warm, cozy spots and wants all the affection you can give. He’s an old soul who thrives on close companionship. Melly is wonderful with children, but would likely prefer a calm, peaceful household at this stage of life. He likes to stay within eyesight and will experience separation anxiety when left alone. Preferably someone who works from home and can take him everywhere, as he cannot be left alone due to his separation anxiety. Another dog in the home would likely keep him calm and give companionship for the potential of leaving him. He’s fully house- and crate-trained. Melly has a history of Lyme disease, so his joints occasionally bother him—especially during cold or rainy weather—but he manages well with love and care. Melly is gun shy and CANNOT be used as a hunting dog.
