Story
Meet Autumn and Dixie! They’re half sisters who are 9 years old (8 months apart). We got them as puppies and they’ve been great companions to us through many moves and seasons of life. Unfortunately since having our first baby we haven’t been able to give them the love, attention and exercise that they need. They love to cuddle, go for walks, and have lots of attention. We are seeking a loving home who will keep them together since that’s all they’ve ever known.

Story
Dixie is the sweetest, most loving and affectionate dog. Loves cuddles, burrowing under a blanket, following you around everywhere, going for walks and getting treats! She can sit, speak, roll over and “walk like me” (stand on her back legs with her arms up). She was my baby before we had our son but unfortunately we cant give her the proper attention and affection she needs since having him. She is 9 years old and super healthy! Beagles live to be about 15 on average and sometimes longer.Dixie has grown up with her half sister Autumn by her side so if you’d like to take them on as a pair that would be amazing. But if not, at this point we are willing to find loving homes for each of them individually since their quality of life isn’t what we’d like it to be anymore and it’s not sustainable for us as a family. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Story
Meet George Found wandering the streets of Oakdale wearing a bark collar, this tender-hearted boy is ready to leave his past behind and find his forever family. George is a playful sweetheart who loves his toys, romping around the yard with his foster dog friends, going on walks, and cruising on car rides. At night, he’s a total cuddle bug and happily curls up in bed with his fosters. He’d do best in a home without cats—not because he wants to hurt them, but because his playful energy might be a little too much for most kitties. If George sounds like your perfect match, give us a call at 209-604-2649 and come meet your new best friend ##2634331##

Story
Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future.
