Cooper is your classic Beagle- he loves to explore, sniff, and say hello to anyone willing to listen. Cooper is affectionate, loves car rides, and would love to be your adventure buddy if you don't mind stopping to smell all the things! Cooper is on the older side, but still very active, so be prepared to get this sweet boy outside for fun and playtime.  Cooper is 7 years old and weighs 40 pounds. All dogs/puppies will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated according to age, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention before adoption unless otherwise noted for age or health reasons. Story
Makana is about 8 years old. Full of energy, loves food and treats, loves walks. Rehoming due to owner losing full vision and care for Makana has become difficult. Got Makana when she was a puppy. She is used to being home alone if needed, and used to having a backyard to roam. She has been with another small dog her entire time in our home. She needs a home with someone who has time to walk her, play & tend to her needs. She does great at Dog Parks, and in the Car, she is used to sleeping on a Dog bed through the day and is NOT crate trained. Makana will need to be updated on shots. She has been around 2 Toddlers in our home since they were born. She hasn’t shown aggression toward them. She could use a little better manners around receiving treats and food as she likes to go for food quickly. She’d also pair well with someone or a family who has an active lifestyle. She currently is trained to use the bathroom outside before bed time and out again before work. Thanks for reading.

Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Coco turned a year in September. She’s a really good dog but my four-year-old has a medical condition and the dog creates allergies that affect his breathing. She’s really good around kids small kids too. I have three boys under five. She’s never bitten any of them. You can also have the 12 panel dog cage.
