This young pup was found wandering all by herself. Like the brand "Little Debbie," she is just so sweet. Because she was a stray, we don't know exact breed or birthday. Based on her looks (long body, short legs, floppy ears), we are guessing she could have some Beagle/Dachshund in her mix, but heavy emphasis on the guess. We think she's also around 2-3 months old, since she has all her baby teeth. Nonetheless, she's a darling girl that looks like she's been plucked right from a commercial. She is absolutely adorable - even more in person! We've given her her first shots, and after her stray hold is up, she will be microchipped and spayed on 11/10. This gives an owner a chance to claim her. If no owner comes forward, she will need a home to call hers, where she can be spoiled and loved. Her new owner should look forward to all that puppy stuff - training, socialization, and nurturing her. $350 adoption fee covers spay, first vaccine, and microchip. Meet Dutton! Sweet Dutton is looking for his forever home! He was pulled from the Stockton Shelter at approximately 4 months old after being found running stray with another puppy, and had a bit of a rough start after developing a vaccine reaction that resulted in temporary distemper symptoms. Luckily with time and care he recovered quickly, and has been fairly healthy ever since! Dutton loves his people. He lives with dogs his size of both sexes; when introduced properly he can be playful and he loves his canine foster siblings. Cats and small dogs are not a fit. Dutton is listed as 'Special Needs' due to allergies and anxiety. After all he's been through he's an extra sensitive soul, and is beginning a behavioral training course with a reputable trainer based out of the Sacramento area to work through those anxious tendencies and help him learn to feel safe and secure in new situations. He would do best with a foster or adopter who worked from home (or spends time at home frequently) as he is a bit of a velcro dog. The ideal foster or adopter for Dutton will be willing to participate in training with him - the costs of this upcoming course have been covered by the rescue and are included in his adoption fee. Allergy-wise, Dutton had a full allergen panel completed after experiencing a skin reaction, and is now known to be sensitive to peanuts, soy/legumes, and tumbleweeds (of all things!). He is currently undergoing an immunotherapy treatment to alleviate his reactions to these allergens, which we hope will lessen the need for regular allergy medications in the future. Coco turned a year in September. She’s a really good dog but my four-year-old has a medical condition and the dog creates allergies that affect his breathing. She’s really good around kids small kids too. I have three boys under five. She’s never bitten any of them. You can also have the 12 panel dog cage.
