In October 2024, WEACT and 14 other rescue organizations headed to a puppy mill site in Busan that had over 550 dogs. This horrendous site was also located next to a dog meat farm. The site, where many animals were slaughtered, bore horrifying traces on the various machines and tools. In a place where death is a daily reality, Bert was rescued there.

Story
Hi everyone! My name is George, and I’m a sweet beagle with a big heart and an even bigger love for making friends! I absolutely adore being around other dogs and would be so happy to have a furry friend to play and explore with. One of my favorite things to do is play ball - I could enjoy playtime all day long! I’m a friendly, affectionate boy who loves being around people and sharing lots of love and happy moments. I’m looking for a family who will give me plenty of playtime, cuddles, adventures, and, of course, lots of opportunities to show them just how sweet I am. I can’t wait to meet my forever family! 🏡 My Home’s Requirements: Another friendly dog in the home is required. I thrive with a canine companion by my side! 📍 My Location: INDIANAPOLIS, IN Please note: Third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed above! Beagle Freedom Project facilitates out-of-state adoptions, provided the adopter can travel to the animal’s current location for pickup. If you’re interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ For questions, email the Beagle Freedom Project team at: adopt@bfp.org About Beagle Freedom Project: Beagle Freedom Project is the world’s leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research.
