Story
Hi, I’m Mamie. My foster folks call me Marmie, short for Marmalade cause I’m just so darn sweet. I’ve had a hard life. Grass makes me uncomfy, my teeth are ground to nubbins, and my collar has been too tight for most of my life. But you’d never guess, by my personality. I’m a lover! Where you are? That’s where I want to be. I’d do well with a friend my own age, I think I’m a lil too old for puppy energy but an adult dog and I would have lots of fun! I like short walks outside and lickable treats! I’m a little too big to be a lap dog but I can’t be stopped when I feel a snug coming on. Can I live out my golden years by your side?

Story
If you like speed and living the fast life, go ahead and keep scrolling. Beagy Weagy looks like a beagle but she is actually a slug. She is into napping. The beag loves a long snooze, a warm blanket and getting minimal steps per day. Her top three favorite things are 1. Eating snacks 2. Eating more snacks 3. Snuggling into you at all hours. She does not want to "go for walks" and she loathes exercise. The Beagy Weagy wants her meals delivered via Adoptive-Parents-DoorDash and she wants at least two soft beds to rotate naps throughout the day. And also preferably one nap with you. Beagy Weagy lives with dogs, cats and very busy foster parents who work full time. Which suits her just fine. She couldn't be bothered to do much during the day. Snoozing away is perfect, thank you very much. She is potty trained, crate trained and does well left alone. And did we mention she's pretty funny? This goofy lady is silly in a quiet, surprising way. She'll roll around on you making noises that can only be described as pterodactyl-like. And did we mention she's a PERFECT sleepover buddy? She loves to cuddle in bed and she'll sleep like a perfect loaf of bread all night wherever she's positioned. Beagy Weagy was likely hit by a car and picked up on the side of the road by a kind person. She came to Renegade with an injured eye, a broken pelvis and two broken legs. Vets initially had to staple a fentanyl patch to her back to help her pain. But no more! Her injuries have since healed but she'll probably never move too fast. And she shouldn't have to! Girly pop has been through enough. She is heartworm positive but has started her treatment and will be free of heartworms soon enough! Renegade covers the cost of this treatment through our vets. Would you like your very own couch cushion in beagle form? Apply to adopt Beagy Weagy today.

Story
Sitting here wondering how we could still have this sweet, goofy, fun, playful, good girl…? Bianca is around three years old, and is house trained and crate trained. She loves throwing around her stuffy or playing tug with one of her foster pup siblings. Bianca loves other pups, and would especially love someone to play with. The only thing we’ve found that she’s not too sure of is cats. She would probably do best in a house without them. Bianca is also pretty quiet for a beagle!

Bernard and his bestie, Bianca, were picked up as strays by a local animal control.  He is new to us here at Coastal Pet Rescue, but so far, he seems to be a sweet, happy boy just looking for some human attention.  He's definitely a beagle though - his baying bark is very distinctive!  We'll post additional details about Bernard as we get to know him

Story
Sweet Nugget might be one of the most unusual short stacks we've ever had. We think he is mixed with Basset Hound and Catahoula, but who really knows. He loves to romp in the play yard and really wants all the head scratches you can give. Toy obsessed and very food motivated!Update from his snow foster 1/31/26:Nugget has been enjoying his stay-cation! He is a total love bug and wants nothing more than to be cuddled up next to you. He would be a great binge-watch buddy. He is great about sleeping in his crate. He’s not a chewer but has a healthy curiosity about his environment. We are working on his leash skills. In the dog park, he is faster than his little legs may suggest! He’s a ton of fun and would make an excellent and completely lovable companion Nugget was Heartworm Positive and was treated with a slow kill treatment plan.  His six month re-test is now NEGATIVE.  Adopters should follow-up with their vet regarding any additional treatments and monitoring.

Bandit is like a soft, mushy baby! He has big floppy ears that bounce when he runs! Bandit is very sweet, playful and gets along great with other dogs. He will do wonderful with a fur sibling to run and play with! He walks excellent on a leash and is doing very well with house training. He also crates well for short periods when needed. He loves the attention of children. This little love bug will surely light up your life!
