Story
I’ve had Nash since he was 8weeks old, he is now almost 4. He has been trained and was doing extremely well, until we brought our baby home. He does great with older kids but babies has been a different story. He is very smart but has become jealous and acting out in the last year. Lots of counter surfing, eating cat poop and whatever he can get his paws on. He has done great in dog parks and around other dogs, unless they are on the other side of his fence. He is extremely good at telling you when he has to go outside or is hungry. One of his quirky things is he likes to stand on his back legs, it’s his favorite trick. He doesn’t like his paws being touched so clipping his nails doesn’t happen but he will bite them and do it himself.

Story
Meet Mrs. McBarkin, a 3-year-old Beagle mix weighing approximately 34 pounds of personality, charm, and perhaps just a little extra cushioning. Mrs. McBarkin is a friendly, active girl who is ready to find a family to join her on life's adventures. She's got that classic Beagle enthusiasm and a world-class nose that is always ready to investigate the next interesting smell. Whether she's exploring the neighborhood, hitting the trails, or conducting important sniff-related research, this girl is ready to go. Mrs. McBarkin currently has a little more cushion than necessary, but she's ready to put those Beagle legs and that world-class nose to work on plenty of walkies and adventures. A family who enjoys getting out and about will be just what she needs to help her become the healthiest version of herself, all while having an absolute blast along the way. Friendly, fun, and full of Beagle charm, Mrs. McBarkin is ready to bring her happy personality, curious nose, and adorable ears to a family of her very own. If you're looking for an active companion who will happily join you for adventures and remind you to stop and smell literally everything, Mrs. McBarkin may be your girl! Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. Please get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH! adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH! cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). An adoption counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH! adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and/or a leash to pick up and their ID. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late. Cats and kittens are required to leave in a pet carrier. If your adoption is scheduled at Pet Central Helps!: Upon arrival inside the Crossroads Center complex (360 Wylie Drive), look for the black Pet Central Helps! semi-trailer, which is right outside of our facility (Suite 720). Park in the parking lot and enter the facility. A PCH! representative will greet you and show you to the adoption room. Your new pet will be handed to you. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at PetSmart – Bloomington, IL: Park in the PetSmart (1606 E. Empire St.) Parking lot and enter the store. We will be set up just inside the store entrance. Let us know you are here to pick up your pet! A PCH! representative will confirm your information and hand you your pet. We will take a "Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. If your adoption is scheduled at the Cat’s Meow Cafe: Navigate to PetSmart, park in the parking lot and enter the store. Locate a PCH! Representative at our adoption table and let them know you are picking up a Cat Cafe Cat. You will sign your final contract with your counselor and snap a picture of the completed screen. Head to the Cat’s Meow Cafe at 507 N. Hershey Rd and provide them with the snapshot of your final contract. They will get your cat and take a “Happy Adoption Day” photo with your pet and family. PCH! supports a 30-day no-fault return policy in which adopters are given the opportunity to find a better match. If we cannot provide advice/tools to keep a pet in the home we offer these options: Exchange for a pet that may be a better match** Receive a refund minus a $40 processing fee** With this approach, we can often turn mismatches into opportunities! Thank you, Pet Central Helps!
