Story
Meet Dom, a 5 1/2 year old beagle mix. Dom came to AWL with a small dog who he did great with. He doesn't seem to be great with cats. While he hasn't gotten close enough to hurt one he defiantly wanted to chase them. Dom is sweet and loves affection. Don't be fooled by his missing hair, he really is a handsome man. He was infested with fleas so all that itching left him with missing hair. It has slowly started to come back though and we know he will be a beautiful dog real soon! Dom is very vocal and cries and cries when he wants something but at least that's better than barking! Dom could fit into most homes as he has the energy to play but still likes to relax and be with his people. In typical beagle fashion Dom would be great with kids! Introducing Scott.......His approximate DOB is 3-25-2025. Scott is a tan Mixed Breed. He has been neutered & has had his first round of vaccinations. His weight at time of intake was 36 lbs. Here is the write up I swiped from WCAWC where Scott was in intake: Scott is a mystery mix who may contain some Pug, Beagle, Terrier… and probably a few ingredients we haven't identified yet. Whatever the recipe is, the result is pretty darn cute! But Scott isn't just a handsome face. ❤️ 🐾 Loves people — apparently he has never met a stranger. 🐾 Seems to like other dogs — so far, he's been great with his canine friends. 🐾 Farm-animal approved! He still needs supervision but he is coming when I call his name, heels well while walking on a leash and understands the word NO. He doesn’t always obey that word yet but is doing a very good job for a puppy! Included in the price: crate, food, bags of chew treats, 2 beds, many toys, food and water dish and backseat carrier for an SUV or car. This puppy will be a wonderful buddy and he just needs a home where the owner has time for him!

I do have a little separation anxiety when my family leaves and sometimes that results in an accident so having a crate for me would be wonderful. Yes, old dogs CAN learn new tricks! I have lived with another dog before, but I can be picky on my doggo friends as I grow older. A dog that can respect my boundaries would be best for me! And I would do well with kids too! His birth date is 10/09/25 and he currently weighs 36#.He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. His adoption donation is $500 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card.
