Fill out an Online Adoption Application!   JoJo is one of those puppies that were not altered and kept with other unaltered male dogs, so the picking began, and he became homeless. He went to a second home that had 4 cats. The cats are not found of him. JoJo barks and lunges, but when the cat slapped him back, he tucked his tail and ran. So while we aren't ruling cats out completely for this 1 year old boy, we want to make sure any potential adopters understand what has been observed before. What we do know is JoJo would absolutely be a perfect therapy type best friend dog for about any age. He has been with kids and adults male and female and has no gender preference for his human. He very snuggly. JoJo also knows basic commands. Our numbers have increased exponentially since Covid. Unlike most shelters, we remained open and hit record intake numbers after the epidemic hit. We have taken in dozens of very sick felines that had no other option, and have even helped over 60 canines in 2021. 2022 was not any better.  We are trying to compute our end of the year numbers, but intake, vetting expenses, cost of food and litter for our 120 plus cats all just continues to get worse with the cost of living increasing like it has. Our rescue has also provided record number spay/neuters 2023 at well over 1200 surgeries on cats and dogs. Our accounts are drained, but we feel these surgeries are the only way we are going to be able to stay a float. We will never keep up with the rate that cats can breed in our area.  We operate solely on donations, and we are always looking for wonderful families to join our efforts. We have dozens of felines not posted and dozens more on our waiting list.
