Story
He is a deeply loved rescue I’ve had for 4.5 years. He is affectionate, loyal, and bonds strongly once he feels secure. However, he struggles significantly with being left alone and can become very anxious when confined or separated from his people. When stressed, he may become destructive, have accidents in the home, or injure himself trying to escape confinement. Because of this, he needs a home that is willing and able to work with separation anxiety in a calm, patient, and supportive way. What he needs in a home: *Someone experienced with dogs (especially anxious or rescue dogs preferred) *A calm, stable household *A home where he is NOT required to be crated for long periods when alone *Someone home often or with a flexible schedule *Willingness to manage separation anxiety without punishment-based methods About him: *Adult dog (7-9 years old) *Very affectionate and people-oriented when comfortable *Needs consistency and patience to thrive *Intelligent and capable of doing well
