You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $600 plus taxI'm so very pleased to meet you!  I'm good with kids and love other dogs. I like to spend my days busying myself with toys and doggie chewies.  I like to stay active too by running and playing in the yard.  However, I usually fit a few naps into my day as well.  After all, who doesn't like a nap?  I'm learning what potty pads are and that I really should go outside to do my dirty business but it takes time to establish those habits.  I love to cuddle with my humans too. I'm searching for a fabulous forever home to share my life and love with! Do you want a great friend to join your family?  Well, adopt me and let's start making lasting memories together!  * Puppies under 5 months should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization.   If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Story
Meet Rocky 🐾 — a soft-spirited senior Beagle who is ready to finally enjoy the comforts of home. Rocky has spent 14 years and 11 months as a working hunting dog. He lived his life outdoors in a dry but unheated dog house, and when we asked his owner if they would release him to rescue so he could know love and comfort in his senior years, they said yes. 💛 Since coming into foster care, Rocky has shown just how gentle, loving, and deserving he is. He has proven himself to be a true gentleman in the home. Rocky easily uses the dog door, gets along well with dogs similar in size, and does not chase the cat. Despite being a senior, he still has quite a spring in his step and comes trotting briskly across the yard, eager for pets and kindness. His blood work revealed a healthy dog. Rocky enjoys sleeping a good part of the day and would make a wonderful companion for a laid-back, quiet senior who appreciates a medium-sized dog that simply wants a warm home, soft beds, and love in his golden years. 📍 Rocky is currently in a loving foster home in Arkansas and can arrive on the next transport, which runs every two weeks. 💲 Adoption fee is $350 plus tax, and he qualifies for our Senior-for-Senior program. If you can offer Rocky the retirement he so deeply deserves, please apply at www.campcompanion.org . 🐶
