She was in rough shape when she showed up in a lady's yard in need of some love. Molly had her initial vet appointment and is now fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Unfortunately, she tested heartworm positive so she has begun heartworm treatment protocol and the remainder of a 12 month supply of meds will go home with her. She also had multiple mammary masses / tumors. X-rays showed that her organs were good and her blood work came back good. She had surgery to remove 4 clusters of masses, which thankfully were benign. The surgery was pretty invasive but she is now healed and ready to go to a new home. She is a good girl who would love to find a warm sofa or lap and to spend time with her humans, she's good with dogs and people, she pays little attention to the cats. She is doggie door house-trained and goes in and out on her own as needed. She sleeps in a crate at night just because of having so many dogs in the home, but after some of the other early morning risers have gone out for early potty break she comes back in and gets in the bed sometimes until the alarm goes off. Ernie is a sweet little beagle mix. He loves to snuggle up on the couch, especially under the blanket. He LOVES food, and is very good with sit, focus, and target. He is extremely funny and a little bit stubborn. He completed beginner training classes and did very well, with the exception of lying down. Ernie needs an experienced dog owner, as he struggles with resource guarding, separation anxiety, barking, and has bit a couple of times. We found him in the street 8 months ago. We’ve loved having him in our home, but his high prey drive is starting to cause problems with our cat.

We got this dog as an 8 week old puppy after a flooding happened. She will be turning 3 years old this year in July. She's a very sweet girl. She knows some commands, yet chooses to listen to certain ones LOL She's very sweet and playful. She grew up as an indoor dog mostly. She slept in a separate bedroom. She's a bit overdo for her shots, but not too much. She knows to ask to go to the bathroom, and she's fine to stay outdoors in a fenced in yard. She loves to stand on the fence though. She's jumped over the fence a few times last year, but hasn't this year. ( I guess after we had her on a chain a few times, she understood that it was bad to jump over the fence). She's afraid of thunderstorms and windy weather. So she will jump on the windows if she's outside to bed to be let indoors if it's windy, even during sunny weather. She's quite hyper and loves to play. Quick to kill birds in the yard and barks to notify if someone is near. She loves cuddles and playing.
