Story
Meet Pops – The Playful Brainiac Pops is a 1-year-old Beagle/Dachshund mix weighing around 40 pounds, and he's ready to charm his way into your heart! This boy is all about fun and games—tennis balls are his absolute favorite.. He never turns down a good game of fetch. He’s also an eager learner and loves engaging with his people, especially when treats are involved. Pops can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with patience and a gentle touch, he warms up quickly. Once he trusts you, he’ll stick by your side like the loyal, loving companion he was meant to be. You may notice a little something unique about Pops—he has a cherry eye that was surgically corrected but has since relapsed. Our vet has examined him and assured us it’s purely cosmetic, just adding to his quirky charm. Pops is looking for a loving home where he can continue to build confidence, enjoy lots of playtime, and soak up all the affection he deserves. If you’re looking for a fun, devoted, and one-of-a-kind companion—Pops is your guy! Ready to meet him? Fill out a quick “Match Me” form: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog All C.A.R.E rescue dogs are vaccinated, heart-worm tested, spayed/neutered, and dogs are microchipped! Story
Sesame is a young adult male tri-colored hound/beagle mix with a truly one-of-a-kind reverse-spotted coat that turns heads everywhere he goes. Just one look at him and you know he’s special—but it’s his sweet, soft soul that really makes people fall in love. Sesame carries the gentlest, most peaceful energy. He’s the kind of dog who loves to slow life down, stopping to smell the flowers and taking in all the little moments that make life beautiful. Whether it’s a quiet walk, a sunny nap, or simply being near his people, Sesame finds joy in the simplest things. His heart is as big as his floppy hound ears, and his vibe is always positive. Sesame truly loves everyone he meets and would fit wonderfully into almost any family. He especially finds comfort in having a dog companion by his side—someone to share naps, sniffing adventures, and quiet companionship with. Sesame is a feel-good kind of dog—the kind who brings warmth, calm, and happiness into a home just by being there. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will gently remind you to enjoy life’s little joys, Sesame is ready to fill your home with love. Fill out a Match Me form online at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CAST/Dog to be pre-approved. Sesame is vaccinated, heart-worm negative , neutered, and microchipped! Story
Meet MacGyver! MacGyver is a brown and white Beagle. He was born on 11/05/2015. MacGyver is good with cats and dogs. He also is a big old cuddle bug! MacGyver loves when you brush him, give him belly rubs, and of course snacks. We highly suggest Mac being an outdoor only door or have access to the outdoors at ALL TIMES since he does not strive being indoors. This old boy is a good walker and loves to play with he squeaky toys. He's and old and lazy dog what could be better than that? Potential adopters can complete their application at www.havenoftheozarks.org/adopt and come out to meet our pets any day between 9 AM - 4 PM. Email havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com with questions. Story
Meet Susie, a sweet and friendly beagle mix with a mellow charm. Although she can initially be a bit shy, Susie's independent spirit shines through once she warms up. She enjoys leisurely walks and is happy to spend quiet time by your side. Susie is ideal for someone who appreciates a gentle companion; she promises to bring a peaceful and loving presence into her forever home. If you're looking for a loyal friend who respects your space but is always there when you need her, Susie is the perfect match. I知 not a fan of cats, so I would prefer to live in a home without any. Dogs are usually tested with other dogs their size, and we encourage meet-and-greets with your dog before adoption. Cat tests are available if requested, but they only check for clear aggression. Always be careful when introducing dogs to cats. Advice about dogs living with children is based on behavior like energy level and how the dog handles touch. Young children should never be left alone with dogs, and we cannot guarantee how any dog will behave with kids or other pets. Behavior seen in the shelter is just a snapshot and may change in a home. Dogs come from many backgrounds and may need training, time, and patience. Dogs should not be fed together unless you know they do not guard food. We also suggest learning about a dog's breed or mix to be sure it fits your family. Moving to a new home can be stressful for dogs. Use the Rule of 3 to help them adjust: First 3 days: Dogs may feel scared, tired, overexcited, or not want to eat. First 3 weeks: Dogs start learning routines and may show new behaviors. Keep things calm and avoid busy places. First 3 months: Dogs usually feel settled and more comfortable. Story
Levi is a 4-year-old purebred Beagle weighing in at 31 lbs, and his personality is pure beagle through and through. Sweet, affectionate, and full of charm, Levi is the kind of dog who will steal your heart in no time. He’s dog-friendly, house trained, and loves being part of the action with his people. As true to his breed, Levi enjoys following his nose, so he’ll need a secure fenced yard or to be walked on a leash for all outdoor adventures to keep him safe. Levi is a wonderful mix of easygoing and fun-loving, making him a great companion for a family or individual looking for a loyal, happy pup. We’re hopeful his forever family is out there and ready to give him the love he deserves. If you’re looking for a classic Beagle with a sweet soul and a wagging tail, Levi is ready to meet you!
