Meet Stacy: Small Body, Big Heart Say hello to Stacy, a beautiful 1.5-year-old girl who proves that big love really does come in small packages. At just 30 pounds fully grown, Stacy may be petite, but she’s strong, spirited, and full of life. Her journey began as a stray on the streets of Florida, until a kind soul stepped in to help her find safety. Stacy can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for her sweet personality to shine. Once she feels comfortable, she’s all about kisses, belly rubs, and soaking up affection. She’s lightning fast and absolutely *loves* to run, so a fenced yard where she can show off her zoomies would be a dream come true. But she’s not too picky, a living room for zoomies would do just fine! This clever girl is smart and eager to learn. She’s strong for her size and may pull at first on leash, but quickly settles into a nice walking pace and would do great with continued training. She enjoys playtime—especially chasing a ball (returning it is optional, of course!). She’s also got a refined palate and clearly knows what she likes when it comes to food! Stacy is looking for an active, loving home that enjoys her playful energy and is ready to build a bond with her. Stacy will be an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion who just wants someone to call hers. If you’re ready for a fun, fast, loving little sidekick, Stacy is waiting to meet you!

Story
Luna is an approximately 9 year old small-medium sized dog. She was rescued at 2 years old from a hoarding situation, and taken into the home as the only dog, with no children. She did very well as the only the dog in the home, but does not get along with most dogs, we believe based on her history. She loves to sleep and cuddle, is house trained, and is low energy, requiring a sniff walk or some playing each day. She also responds very well to training, she’s been through 2 professional training courses. After having a child, we have seen Luna became much more anxious and we believe she truly would be better cared for in an environment without children. She is not aggressive toward kids, but she is better served by owners who do not have them. She tends to prefer women, but can live with men.

Stacy dog has got it going on. She’s all you’ll want and she’s been waiting for so long! Stacy is a sweet beagle who spent the first part of her life living in a barn as a hunting dog. She is initially a bit shy, but once she warms up she is friendly. She does have bilateral luxating patellas. It will be important to keep her from getting overweight to avoid further stressing her patellas. She may benefit from physical therapy or possibly even surgery in the future. Due to her shy nature and her patellas, we recommend a more relaxed home. If you are interested in Stacy, give us a call at 603-472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions.
